Factorio main bus guide.

Build all your factories on one side of the bus. Every time you add a new science, add each new item to the bus. Start with one belt of each item if you like, and when you're no longer meeting demand, just tack some more belts to on to the outside of your bus. Then don't have to be next to each other. 5.

Factorio main bus guide. Things To Know About Factorio main bus guide.

I don't like Bus and City Blocks, because they tend to always look the same. So, I usually rush trains and military to expand into a somewhat organic rail base. The few bootstrap and starter bases I've found for K2+SE didn't really suit my needs and were generally lacking in terms of a design that would guarantee a constant SPM. Features:Mazian Jun 16, 2016 @ 5:25pm. The only items necessary are Iron Plates, Copper Plates and Steel. Everyone who developes a factory with a Main Bus is going to experiment with what else can be added, but you don't have to add anything else. Additional items for things that you can main bus: * Green Circuits. * Red Circuits.FACTORIO BASE-IN-A-BOOKFactorio Lets Play with detailed design of a fully upgradeable base including City Blocks, Trains, Main Bus and Robots. For the beginne... For the pipes, it is best to double up sulphur & lubricant (and/or water, petroleum..etc if needed) as these get used up quickly. Left as single but left it open to double up if needed.Starting with using your bus for inputs to Processing units is fine, but they will quickly consume so much material that you will want an extra production of red&green circuits just for them. OP's blue print consumes 1.2 red belt worth of green circuit. That's something I'm not decided about yet either. Most things take GCs off the main bus ...

Critical areas of a main bus, from my experience, are the beginning (smelting, feeding, unloading too close, not enough space to bring it all together), the area between assemblers and main bus (you often have to cramp something in between and you might want a "road" there) and if you want to build on both ...

Aug 25, 2022 · In my opinion a bus is not good for new nor advanced players. Factorio is a 2d game and restricting yourself to a line has many drawbacks. A bus is only good in some mods where you are not ever going to produce "spm" and need 1 or fewer belts of each resource in total while very few resources are being consumed constantly by any specific thing. Re: Megabase tips. 1: I prefer on-way-trains, they need more space but the railgrid can take much more trains and you safe on train length. 2: It depends on the ore patch size, if you can feed long trains in a decent time go for longer trains. for valuables even three wagons are just fine.

This bus will transport the materials down the player's factory, making it easy to pull from the bus to assemble any component the player needs.I used a Main Bus method in Factorio. I wanted to try a "City block" method interconnected by trains, but never got past planning. Now that I started Satisfactory I'm planning to build a Train Network. Gonemad79 • 3 yr. ago. I start doing overflows but then every overflow line is conected with spaghetti with one another. If I understand your problem, you are taking things off the main bus to feed other branches of the factory and the belts are becoming more and more un balanced, you need to lay in some belt balancing rigs to spread the load across all the lines, KOS has a guide that i read way to much for me to happily admit, the title of it is Factorio: How to Build a Main BusStep 1, build a SpacePort (more details below). Make sure that all rockets are unloaded quickly and go into an LTN station immediately. I made the station using passive provider warehouses so my (bot-based) mall doesn't need it's own station. It has a small area to recycle empty barrels&scrap and of course some labs.

Leave a 1 tile space, then place an output belt going in the direction of your planned main bus. Leave a 1 tile space and then place the second line of furnaces. From there I have two red belts each of iron and copper. One belt each of green chips and steel. One lane each of red chips, blue chips, LDS, RCU, batteries, rocket fuel, coal, sulfur, stone and stone-brick. One pipeline of lube. My main goal was to build a megabase with independent blocks, so it could scale over time. I wanted round numbers, so I thought about having 1k spm per block at first. Since that would be quite big and require 3 rocket silos per block, I decided to go for ~333 spm with one silo and rounded that to 5.6 science per second (336 per minute).

What Transport for which case? This page compares the three main transport methods: Belt transport system (conveyor belts), railway (trains) and logistic robots. There are two more useful methods to transport items: the character's inventory and the car. (Especially the car has an extremely high capacity and can be used instead of trains.

Honestly, my current solution is to group the science production and labs together, and pass the science around outside the bus. A little gross, but it definitely works and keeps the bus simple. The judge's votes are in: You sir have a megabase. (I would suggest that a couple of the defining characteristics are (1) the use of a main bus, (2) the second is having sufficient productivity to need a main bus of a certain size, (3) that the required main bus size should exceed 2 lanes of Iron and Copper Plates-- others may argue the threshold is higher, (4) for your base to exceed the area ...

Factorio uses real science here. A Watt (W) is a measure of energy transfer. A kilowatt (kW) is 1000 W, a megawatt (MW) is 1000 kW, and if you're lucky enough to ever make a factory big enough, a gigawatt (GW) is 1000 MW. So that answers the question of how much power our factory uses.A nice place to start your bus would be the green arrows in this screenshot: So start by putting down four lanes of belt, leave some space inbetween and place four more. Engines are pretty easy to make locally (since they require only iron plates). triggerman602 3 yr. ago.
